Hunter began his advocacy in his early years, which led him to run for the Marana Unified School Board at the age of 18 and be elected in 2020. He has lobbied in D.C. as well as the state capitol for our working families. He was re-elected to the Marana Unified Governing Board in 2024 and was named President. He is also the Second Vice Chair of the Pima County Democratic Party, taking pride in helping move the party forward to focus more on the economy, healthcare, and education.
